Rescue
We take on surrendered hermit crabs from all over Australia who are in need of new homes. Sometimes owners can no longer care for their crabs and need to move them on, this is where we step in and take the stress off your hands.
Rehabilitation
All of our rescues go through a 4-week minimum rehabilitation period in which they are housed in a large 4ft tank with deep substrate, a balanced diet, enrichment, and an ample supply of natural shells. Here they will begin their de-stressing and first moult.
Adoption
Once our rescues are ready, we adopt them out to approved homes. The reason we ensure that all homes are approved first is to stop the cycle of crabs being placed into unsuitable conditions. We adopt to brand new and experienced owners as long as they have a correct tank setup.
