Tiffany
Business & Rescue Owner - Registered Hermit Crab Breeder
Living in Victoria, Tiffany foundered The Happy Hermie in early 2023 to fill the void of safe hermit crab products available within Australia. Passionate about all thing's hermit crab, Tiffany specifically specializes in diet, enrichment, advocacy, rescue and captive breeding. Being the third Australian to successfully breed hermit crabs in captivity and becoming a breeding member of Hermit House. Tiffany is currently the board president of the Australian Hermit Crab Association and enjoys spending her spare time reading and educating new hermit crab owners.
Mykayla
Social Media Manager & Head of Rescue
Living in Tasmania, Mykayla first joined our team as a rescuer in late 2023, helping to take on surrendered hermit crabs, rehabilitating and rehoming them. Mykayla works at a large retail pet store and specializes in pet obedience, operating five different obedience courses for dogs and their owners. In her spare time, she enjoys researching to build her knowledge on the animals she owns and works with and educating new hermit crab owners on proper diet, behavior and husbandry. In 2024 Mykayla moved into Social Media management of THH social media pages and running the rescue, bringing rescuers and adopters together.
